NEWS - PRESS - SPANISH DJ & PRODUCER - BASSBALL
Bassball, Alvaro De Rossi, and Lucía Caro join forces on “Sombrita”, their new release in Techno Flamenco.
Spanish emerging talent shines once again on the electronic scene with “Sombrita”, the new single from Bassball, Álvaro De Rossi, and Lucía Caro, available today, October 31, under the Techno Flamenco label (Addicting Records).
The collaboration was born as a reinterpretation of a track that deeply marked the artists, now transformed into a fresh and modern proposal where Afrohouse and House sounds merge with an unmistakable flamenco essence. “We wanted to capture that energy and turn it into something current, blending Afrohouse and House sounds with a flamenco spirit that reflects our artistic evolution,” the creators explain. The result is an elegant, powerful track with Mediterranean soul, capable of connecting both with the dance floor and with its roots.
A roll of flamenco claps keeps you hooked throughout its 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The build-ups before the drop create anticipation, leading into a catchy chorus that defines the song’s identity.
Behind this release stand three names representing different sides of Spanish talent:
LUCIA CARO
At just 21 years old, Lucía Caro represents the new generation of voices shaping the sound of electronic pop and contemporary fusion. Her musical journey began with Combo Rock in Huelva, and since then, she has grown under the vocal guidance of Maroca Soul, exploring different styles until forging a strong, versatile artistic identity.
Beyond her work on stage, she combines her musical development with content creation on social media, where she shares collaborations with various artists and producers. One of her standout projects is “Tierra y Agua”, alongside John Conde and Penélope Watson. She currently works closely with Álvaro De Rossi, maintaining a constant collaboration both in the studio and on digital platforms, solidifying her rise as an artist in full expansion.
BASSBALL
With a sound that connects House, Afrohouse, and the underground edges of Tech House, Bassball has positioned himself as one of the most promising names in the Spanish electronic scene. His music blends club energy with Latin, tribal, and flamenco influences, offering dynamic and personality-driven sets.
He has received support from international figures such as David Tort, Roger Sanchez, Federico Scavo, and Swanky Tunes, and has shared the stage with artists like DJ Chuckie, Sunana, and Danny Roma at renowned events including the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and iconic Ibiza clubs.
His EP “Bailadora” reached #4 on Beatport’s Tech House Top, while “It’s Perfect” entered the Minimal / Deep Tech Top. With releases on labels such as HotL Records, Juicy Music, Stealth Records, and Made in Miami, Bassball continues to expand his global reach.
He also hosts Sabor Radio, his weekly radio show, with sets aired on Loca FM, Stardust Ibiza, and Select UK, bringing his energy beyond the DJ booth.
ALVARO DE ROSSI
Hailing from Andalusia, Álvaro De Rossi is establishing himself as one of the most promising names in Spain’s electronic landscape. After training with some of the region’s top mentors, the Spanish producer has crafted his own signature sound, earning support from major artists such as Morten, David Tort, Dada Life, ANGEMI, and Dennis Cartier.
His energetic and precise sets and productions have resonated across Spain — from Madrid to Seville, Conil, and Sancti Petri. With releases on HotL Records, Black Hole Recordings, Ensis Records, and Dffrnt Records, his evolution reflects a clear vision: to pursue quality and authenticity on the dance floor.
With this collaboration, Bassball, Álvaro De Rossi, and Lucía Caro deliver a track that encapsulates the new Spanish electronic wave: open, hybrid, and deeply rooted. “Sombrita” is a clear example of how the fusion of styles can lead to genuine sounds with international potential.

Bassball presents “Raíces” and “Dana”: their two new singles on HoTL Records and Inner Circle.

The DJ and producer from Constantí continues to expand his career and broaden his discography with two releases this September on the labels of David Tort and Markem: two tracks that explore Afro-inspired sounds while maintaining the artist’s unique identity.
With an extensive career spanning more than 17 years and appearances on labels such as Juicy Music, Made in Miami, Stealth Records, and Get Down, Bassball stands out as one of the most promising figures in the national house scene. The Catalan artist has released highly successful tracks, including his EP “Bailadora”, which reached #4 on Beatport’s Tech House chart and #27 in the overall global ranking. He has also received support from renowned artists such as Roger Sanchez, Federico Scavo, and Robbie Rivera, and has shared the stage with names like DJ Chuckie, Juany Bravo, and Sunana.
His productions are defined by a distinctive personal style that fuses different branches of house music — such as Afro and Tech — with Latin, tribal, and flamenco influences. It’s a sound with both identity and character, where electronic groove blends seamlessly with organic and cultural warmth. Bassball sees music as a bridge between cultures and always seeks to create an emotional connection with the audience, whether in the studio or on stage. It’s no coincidence that his sound has conquered dance floors in places like Ibiza and international festivals such as the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), and that his name continues to appear more frequently in international line-ups.
“Raíces”: Flamenco and Afro House Hand in Hand
The first release of this month is “Raíces”, available since September 12 on HoTL Records, the label of David Tort and Markem. The title is extremely fitting for a track that highlights the signature flamenco hand claps, accompanied by Spanish guitar and unmistakable traditional vocals. All of these elements are layered over tribal percussion and Afro house-style synthesizers, resulting in a song full of groove and character. Bassball himself describes it as:
«‘Raíces’ is the essence, who we are: an art that brings together Afro house and flamenco.»
On the other hand, “Dana” will be released through Markem’s label, Inner Circle. The track leans more toward traditional Afro house, while fully retaining its artistic value. It is an emotionally charged production built around a harmonic progression in which the piano takes center stage, adding a melancholic touch. Around it, African-rooted vocals add depth, while tribal percussion reinforces the rhythmic intensity and elevates the track’s atmosphere. In Bassball’s own words: “‘Dana’ is a melodic journey, full of feeling, that connects with memories of the past.”
Bassball Returns to ADE
This double release comes at a pivotal moment for the artist, who is already preparing his return to the Amsterdam Dance Event 2025. On October 23, Bassball will perform at the Mi Amor label party, hosted by Bono Badja — an event closely aligned with the sound that defines the producer. About this international appearance, he says:
“Going to ADE is another world: I’m in love with Amsterdam, excited to play my music at this party and to share the stage with great artists.”
Undoubtedly, Bassball is one of the most compelling and distinctive artists in Spain, someone worth following closely in the coming years. These two releases highlight that: “Raíces” and “Dana” are proof of a producer capable of fusing worlds that might seem impossible to unite — and doing so with remarkable mastery.
“Raíces” is already available on all streaming platforms, while “Dana” will be released on Friday, September 26.
